Affirmation Mondays At Aubaine Inspired By Café Gratitude

She’s as spirited about interviewing A-list celebrities as she is about eating breakfast, which is why TV presenter Poppy Jamie is bringing LA’s infamous Café Gratitude concept to London with the launch of Affirmation Mondays; a collaboration with French restaurant chain Aubaine.

It was brunching with close friend Greta Bellamacina, a poet with the same inclination, which provoked a conversation about the way dining is becoming less about the food and more about the experience.

On Mondays, from today onwards, when you dine in at any Aubaine restaurant across London or grab anything to go, you’ll receive a positive affirmation printed on card as well. They’ll change each week.

“I spend a lot of time in LA,” says Poppy. “It’s very forward thinking there and when you visit a place like Café Gratitude, you realise that it’s a lot about how you feel when you’re in the restaurant.”

“For young people in this world, where we are bombarded by social media constantly, more and more of us are looking for an escape,” says Poppy who, together with Greta, is looking to provoke meaningful and spiritual conversations over meals, rather than mindless smart phone overuse.

“We should be asking ourselves questions. We should also be thinking not only about feeding our bodies, but also our minds,” Poppy told welltodo London.

Drop in to Aubaine on Monday’s to receive your complementary affirmation. The campaign will also coincide with a series of events curated by Poppy and Greta, for greater spiritual enlightenment and in support of the arts.
