Calgary Avansino is more than just a passionate health and wellness advocate; she lives and breathes it. In a move that will see cold-pressed juice reach an enormous mainstream UK audience, Calgary has bottled her expertise in a brand new partnership with Itsu.
The British Vogue contributing Editor and wellbeing expert has managed to execute her first product, a range of cold-pressed juices, with perfect panache… even in the midst of pregnancy.
“Juice had undoubtedly taken the world by storm,” says Calgary, who knows London’s wellness culture better than anyone.
Having witnessed the surge of cold-pressed juice brands in the UK, Calgary has seen what works from a nutritional standpoint (and what doesn’t!).
“Not all juices are created equal,” she explains. “I’m a big believer in vegetable juice – the more vegetables the better,” which is why Purify, Calgary’s range, contains at least 62% vegetable content; a lot less fruit than others and of course no added sugar.
The range brings some unique combinations to the table with Spicey Tomato, Red Pepper and Celery (with lime, cucumber and cayenne pepper), Raw Green Vegetables (including fennel, kale and avocado), and Beetroot, Cucumber and Tarragon (with a lemon kick).
Purify is now available in Itsu stores across Britain, making cold-pressed juice incredibly accessible to a wider audience.
“I feel truly honoured and blessed to be able to put my expertise and passion into products that consumers can enjoy at home or on the move,” she says of the collaboration with Itsu.
