LONDON, United Kingdom — Launched in 2015, Gozo Casheese plans to revolutionise the dairy-free alternative market with a new form of cream cheese made from cashew nuts.
Using exclusively organic and natural ingredients, Casheese is free from gluten, soya and additives, and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
“We launched in September and have been overwhelmed by the positive reaction so far,” said Lydia Davidson, founder of Gozo Deli.
“People are excited to see a new and innovative food product that is both tasty and healthy, and we have had great feedback from consumers, buyers and food writers.”
Tapping into the increasing trend towards locally-produced and plant-based food – especially ethical products – Gozo Deli is proud to be part of the growing vegan scene in London.
The product range, which can be found in a variety of shops in London and beyond, including Planet Organic, Harrods, Selfridges and Partridges, is handmade using organic, activated cashews.
Naturally fermented, as well as including omega oils and probiotics, Gozo Casheese is available in four flavours including Basil Pesto, French Herb, Smoked Paprika and Chive.
The team behind the innovative product say it is best enjoyed spread on crackers, stirred through pasta or with a salad.
