LONDON, United Kingdom — Onist’s avocado choc pots are healthy, socially-responsible and organically sourced.
Made from only six natural and nutritious ingredients: avocados, dates, cashew nuts, cocoa powder, mineral water and natural flavourings. All the ingredients are Fairtrade accredited, vegan, gluten free and paleo, with no added sugars or nasties.
On a mission to tackle the injustice in the world when it comes to the food industry, founder Mary Lynch wanted to create a business that could make a difference, with Onist she hopes to show other businesses that being responsible as well as commercial can work.
“Farmers are some of the poorest people in the world! I fundamentally believe that isn’t ok,” explained Lynch.
“Businesses for good offer a much better model for a charity as they don’t rely solely on fundraising. And from a commercial standpoint, the business benefits as well. It’s a win win.”
With plans to scale the business, Lynch hopes that in the future Onist will be stocked in supermarkets, to give consumers a healthy option for dessert, whilst showing food businesses that CSR isn’t a box that should just be ticked off a list, it should be integral to their business.
