Ep30. Shahroo Izadi on Creating an Expert Methodology

This week on EXPERTS, we’re joined by Shahroo Izadi, a Behavioural Change Specialist. Shahroo is somebody who from our very first meeting, has inspired me deeply with her commitment to her expert craft, her clients, and her message.

In this episode, you’re not only going to learn powerful habit change strategies that will help you to grow your business, but also get an insight into how Shahroo went from working in prisons to speaking on stages, being offered book deals, waking up one day to 400 new client requests, and selling out programmes.

We talk about finding your place in the industry, standing out, building confidence in your expertise and trusting your gut – even if it means going against the grain. You’re going to love this conversation, so let’s go ahead and dive in.

Every week Lauren asks her guests a set of quick-fire questions…

  1. What’s one thing you wish you’d known when you started this journey?
    “There’s space for everyone.”

  2. What’s one thing you wish you’d done sooner in your business?
“Nothing. if you do it before it feels right, and you feel like you can do it and you can own any backlash or any difficulty that comes with it, at least a little bit, don’t do it yet. Do the stuff you can do and build your confidence that way. So actually I don’t have any regrets about any delays.”

  3. Why do you do what you do?
“I love it. I love it and it works. I’ve never wanted to work in sales because I hate pitching stuff and I hate convincing people to part with their money, it’s the thing I hate doing the most. But this is the first time I have no problem doing it because it absolutely works and I believe in it. And I use it every single day in my life.”

  4. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“When I became self-employed when I became a consultant. My boss at the time said book your holidays and protect them because there will never be a good time to go away.”
