The First International Welltodo Founder Series Took Place In Singapore – Here’s What Happened

SINGAPORE — We came, we saw, we engaged, we were inspired.

On 22nd and 23rd March 2018, our first ever international Founder Series took place in Singapore. Over two days, we met inspiring figures from the burgeoning wellness industry in Singapore and the wider region and left feeling energised and excited about the opportunities that exist in the rapidly evolving South East Asian market.

Kicking the Founder Series off in our signature style, Lauren Armes, Founder of Welltodo was joined by three panelists: Rob Pachter, Co-Founder of app-based fitness platform GuavaPass, Karen Lim, Co-Founder of boutique fitness operator Barre2Barre in Hong Kong and Singapore and Kristina Karlsson, Founder of award-winning stationery brand kikki.K. The deep dive explored strategies for launching and scaling a business in Asia, including challenges the panelists have faced along the way, funding initiatives, which trends are on the rise and how businesses can stay ahead of the competition.

Held at LEVEL3, the event attracted more than 150 businesses owners, entrepreneurs and individuals interested in the business of wellness, who came together to grow the wellness industry and kickstart Welltodo’s expansion throughout Asia.

Then, on 23rd March, Welltodo launched its first ever Founder Series Plus programme at Shangri-La Singapore.

This programme, limited to an intimate group of attendees and partners, aimed to provide a further opportunity to learn, engage, network and connect. The robust agenda featured a Brand 101 talk by Lorraine Tay, Joint Managing Partner of international law firm Bird & Bird, a global wellness trend report delivered by Welltodo Founder, Lauren Armes, a talk on PR Marketing and Social Media for Wellness Businesses lead by Lynda Williams, Founder and MD of Vim & Vigour PR, and a highly revered keynote speech by renowned businessman, former CEO of AirAsiaX, founding CEO of wellness startup, Naluri and Ironman athlete, Azran Osman Rani.

To wrap up the programme, lululemon hosted its highly renowned Vision and Goals setting session at its Duxton Showroom, leaving participants feeling motivated and with measurable goals to apply directly to their lives and businesses.

Following a positive and engaged response, we look forward to returning for a second instalment of the Welltodo Founder Series, taking place on the 6th and 7th of June 2018.
