Fitness Behemoth F45 Is Expanding Into Russia, South Korea & Afghanistan

LONDON, United Kingdom — Fast-growing fitness franchise F45 is launching in South Korea, Russia and Afghanistan, as part of its large-scale expansion across the globe.

In addition to targeting a number of untapped fitness markets, the brand will also open its first location in Spain, adding further fuel to its unprecedented growth.

“We are thrilled to be entering four new markets. We have worked tirelessly to create a truly innovative brand and franchise model that can flourish and grow in any country, and we can’t wait for the people of South Korea, Afghanistan, Russia and Spain to experience this fitness phenomenon and join the F45 family,” Luke Armstrong, Global Sales Director of F45 told Welltodo.

“With the openings of studios in these new territories, we’ve hit another huge milestone in our global expansion plan and look forward to launching in more countries later on in the year.”

Now operating in over 40 countries, F45, which launched as a single studio in 2012 is the world’s fastest-growing fitness franchise.

Founded by former equities trader Rob Deutsch, who spotted a gap in the fitness market for a concept that bridged the gap between personal training and commercial gyms, the fitness phenomenon now operates over 1,500 outlets worldwide.

The success of its franchise network has encouraged many athletes, personal trainers and entrepreneurs to become part of the fitness industry, with English Rugby Union player, James Haskell opening up a studio in Bath, England, earlier this year.

Having recently secured an undisclosed investment via actor Mark Wahlberg and FOD Capital, the brand has said it will continue to accelerate its expansion throughout 2019 and beyond. In addition to entering other new markets, it will also focus on increasing brand awareness, specifically in the US.

“Our goal is for there to be an F45 studio in almost every corner worldwide, and with the accelerated growth we have seen in just four and a half years, we are confident that we can make this happen.”
