ABOUT THE FOUNDER SERIES

The Welltodo Founder Series has become the most highly sought after networking event for the wellness industry. We gather Founders of next-level wellness businesses to share their industry insights, strategies to launch and grow your brand, and advice from challenges they’ve faced along the way. These events are designed to help you take your idea or business to the next level!

Presented by Bird & Bird, Financo and MINDBODY, the Founder Series is hosted by industry expert and founder of Welltodo, Lauren Armes. You’re in for a taste of what success in the wellness industry looks and feels like as our panelists discuss forming unique marketing strategies, funding initiatives, finding a mentor, overcoming the fear, the art of hiring, and how they see the industry changing and evolving. Afterwards, you’ll have a chance to mingle with other forward-thinking movers and shakers.

The wellness industry isn’t slowing down. It is now estimated to be worth $4.2 trillion globally, and it has never been a better time to launch or grow a wellness brand, in a fast-growing industry that is now ripe for investment.

THE PANEL

BETHANY EATON | Founder, Nush & Owner, Coyo
Bringing the Australian coconut yoghurt brand Coyo to the UK, Bethany and her husband Paul soon turned their entrepreneurial attention to a different nut, the almond. Born out of a genuine desire to prove dairy-free does not have to mean bland and boring, Nush was born and soon made it’s way on to the shelves of Waitrose, Planet Organic, Ocado, Whole Foods and many more.

With the vegan food market estimated to be worth £800 million in the UK, and with projections set to grow to £900 million by 2020. Nush is set for £2million turnover in the next 12 months.

JP | Co-Founder, allplants
With a mission to bring more plants to plates across the UK, JP and his brother Alex founded allplants, the plant-based meal delivery service, driven to change the world for the better through great-tasting plant-powered food.

Since launching their digitally-native direct to consumer service in early 2017, they’ve bagged culinary awards for pushing the boundaries and delivered +250,000 healthy and delicious meals to doorsteps nationwide.

Passionate about gathering together brilliant people on a mission, JP with the support of the allplants founding team and their angel investors, have together built an array of +£100m food, media and lifestyle brands and manufacturers.

AMY THOMSON | Founder & CEO, Moody Month
FemTech innovative app Moody Month launched with a clear objective to offer a personalised and informative approach to understanding female moods and hormones. The app, headed up by CEO Amy Thomson, has been created by an all-female line up of developers and innovators including a cognitive neuroscientist gynaecologist, a GP and a registered nutritionist.

Previously founding, scaling and selling marketing agency SEEN, Amy saw a gap in the market after experiencing issues with her own period. Launched in 2017, Moody started it’s journey as an online platform, empowering women with information and insight on their own body and knowledge about their monthly cycle.

In September 2018, Moody released their much-anticipated app to help women track their periods, offering a more personalised way of understanding their hormones. With download numbers surpassing expectations, the all-female team has exciting plans to launch Moody in the US, early 2019.
