Gympass Partners With Anytime Fitness To Cater To Work-From-Home Shift

LONDON, United Kingdom — Corporate fitness giant Gympass has partnered with fast-growing fitness franchise Anytime Fitness, in a move reflecting the evolving needs of the workforce in the UK and Ireland.

The partnership, which gives Gympass members access to over 170 Anytime Fitness clubs across the UK and Ireland, caters to the high number of people continuing to work from home, by providing them with access to local health and wellness options — a model an increasing number of businesses are starting to adopt.

“Corporate wellness is something that needs to be improved across the board, particularly during these unprecedented times where so many workforces are working remotely,” explained Neil Randall, CEO at Anytime Fitness.

“The Gympass partnership strikes a perfect note for us and allows us to help create healthier workforces,” he added.

For Gympass, meanwhile, the addition of Anytime Fitness to its platform bolsters a growing commitment towards providing clients and their employees a more holistic and flexible approach to wellness. In July, the company launched a new feature enabling certified fitness professionals to host personal training sessions as part of its extensive client offering, other features include access to digital fitness concepts and mental health support.

As companies and their employees continue to adapt to a new way of life post-COVID, Gympass is doubling down on its ability to provide a service that is well-rounded and adaptable to all of their needs.

But beyond helping to repackage wellness perks for this new era of working-from-home, the partnership also provides much-needed support to the fitness industry by bringing Anytime Fitness franchise owners an incremental revenue stream from traditionally larger, hard-to-reach corporate companies.

With Anytime Fitness continuing to grow its club portfolio in the UK, it is hoped this instant access to corporates will benefit new franchisees who can focus on getting their clubs up and running whilst Gympass works alongside them to bring new members to their door.

“With all of our Anytime Fitness clubs independently owned, it provides a great opportunity to welcome and support new members into the local communities that they serve,” Randall explained.

Adding: “Gympass’ usage data shows that they’re helping welcome new people into gyms and we feel we’re perfectly placed to provide these people with friendly, spacious and welcoming facilities to begin their fitness journeys and remove any trepidation they feel about the gym.”
