Lululemon Announce A Partnership With The Dalai Lama

Athletic apparel brand, lululemon, opened its first European flagship store in Covent Garden earlier this year, sharing its playful, community-driven spirit with a budding British audience of dedicated yogis.

This week the Canadian company announced a new partnership with the Dalai Lama Center for Peace + Education, with a formal address by His Holiness the Dalai Lama at The Heart-Mind Summit.

lululemon, announcing annual contributions of $250,000 to the centre over the next three years, have described the partnership as a way to build the capacity for communities to promote mindfulness and non-judgmental awareness on the present moment.

“We truly believe that through this powerful partnership we will create real change in the world,” said Laurent Potdevin, CEO of lululemon athletica.

In London, lululemon is expanding this mindful and community-focused spirit, with a string of UK Brand Ambassadors who promote the importance of connecting the heart, mind and body.

“The lululemon influence is spreading like wildfire,” says London’s newest lululemon Ambassador, Catie Miller, Founder of Xtend Barre London.

“The face of the London fitness industry is about to be changed forever. lululemon’s link between wellness and the community is so humbling and I am so grateful to be representing the lululemon brand through my ambassadorship!”

lululemon athletica now has stores in Richmond, Islington, Marylebone, Guildford and its flagship store in Covent Garden.
