Snow Yogi Adventures: Hit The Slopes And The Mat This Ski Season!

Tossing up between a Yoga retreat and a ski holiday this year? AdventureYogi, the UK’s active-relaxation yoga holiday experts, have combined the two… which means you can now hit the slopes and the mat this winter!

Michelle King, Founder of AdventureYogi, admits that skiing and yoga are quite contrasting activities; one dynamic and active and the other very much about relaxing and unwinding. However, she says that also makes them very complementary and it’s what first inspired her retreats back in 2007.

Michelle has designed a holiday that incorporates all the thrill and excitement of a ski trip, with dynamic morning Yoga to activate the mind and muscles and a gentle evening Yoga practice with pranayama and meditation to wind-down. All set in picturesque landscapes.

Instead of cramming into an over-crowed bar at the end of a day on the slopes, Snow Yogi guests hit the mat before enjoying a gourmet, 3 course vegetarian feast served with local wines. Add a log fire and in-house massage therapist to the mix for a near perfect welltodo Jetsetter winter escape.

“Using daily 90 minute yoga practice to strengthen and improve stamina, bodies go home after a week on the slopes feeling stretched and strong, minds invigorated and inspired,” says Michelle.

The SnowYogi Adventure takes place from the 7th-14th March 2015, and is hosted in the sleepy French village of St Foy, in the Tarantaise Valley nearby to La Rosiere, les Arcs Val D’Isere and Tignes, other well-known ski spots.

Prices start at £725 per person, including meals, two daily yoga sessions and transfers from Bourg-St-Maurice train station.
