LONDON, United Kingdom — Join our special guest speakers Richard Hilton; Founder of Gymbox, Rose Mann; Co-Founder of Farm Girl and Dominika Minarovic; Co-Founder of Clean Beauty Co, for the latest instalment of the acclaimed Welltodo Founder Series – on Tuesday, 24th April February, in London.
Exploring the various facets of launching and scaling a business in the multi-trillion dollar wellness sector in the UK and internationally; industry expert and Founder of Welltodo, Lauren Armes, will host a panel discussion touching on a range of topics including trends and drivers, growth strategies, cultivating a success mindset, and how Hilton, Mann and Minarovic see the industry developing.
When Is It?
Taking place in London on Tuesday 24th April, this thought-provoking event for innovative brands, startups, influencers and investors in the wellness industry, will be presented in partnership with international law firm Bird & Bird LLP, the leading provider of cloud-based business management software for the wellness industry MINDBODY, and boutique investment house Financo.
Who Are The Panelists?
With invaluable insights into how to build a profitable and innovative business, the panelists will reveal how they got started, what it took to build their brands, how they have scaled their respective markets and what opportunities lie within one of the world’s fastest-growing industries.
We’ll be joined by Founder of Gymbox Richard Hilton. Following an 11 year stint in advertising at leading agencies including Publicis, Wieden & Kennedy and McCann Erickson, working on campaigns for global brands such as Nike and Unilever, Hilton left the corporate world to launch Gymbox.
Having spotted a gap in the UK market to provide high-energy workouts in a nightclub setting, the entrepreneur went onto open his first outpost in Holborn in 2003. A Covent Garden site soon followed in 2006, with Bank in 2008 — 15 years on and the brand operates nine gyms across London.
In 2016, after selling a large stake in the business for £60 million, Hilton stepped down from his role as CEO. Now the Director spends his time working on brand development and strategy as the business continues to expand.
Thanks to his vision and expertise, the brand has firmly cemented its presence as one of London’s leading fitness offerings, generating an annual profit of over £15m.
Joining Hilton, our second panelist Dominika Minarovic is one half of the duo behind Clean Beauty Co, the UK’s largest natural beauty content platform.
Starting life as a DIY beauty recipe blog back in 2015, in less than three years, by leveraging one of the biggest trends in the wellness sphere — conscious consumerism, the pair have grown the platform into a fully operational business with a turnover of more than £1m.
Having recently launched a skincare line ‘BYBI Beauty’, a collection of 100% natural products, the brand has caught the attention of retailers including ASOS, Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser and Beauty Bay, while Minarovic remains committed to promoting positivity and transparency in beauty, by empowering individuals to take control over what they put on their skin.
Completing our inspiring lineup, Rose Mann is the brains behind one of London’s most Instagrammed healthy eateries Farm Girl.
Tired of the fashion industry, the Australian-born entrepreneur decided to turn her passion for food into a business venture — launching the brand’s first outpost in Notting Hill in 2015. Since then, along with her business Partner Anthony Hood, in a bid to keep up with demand, Mann has launched two further locations, one within Sweaty Betty’s flagship store on Carnaby Street and the most recent in Chelsea –– a 90 cover venue, featuring the brand’s first all-day restaurant and bar.
With further expansion already in the pipeline, Mann plans to continue serving up nutritious, holistic and healthy food to the capital’s health-conscious consumers.
What Are The Networking Opportunities?
Following the 1-hour deep dive discussion with Hilton, Mann and Minarovic, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a 20 minute Q&A session, before mingling with other forward-thinking movers and shakers from the wellness industry.
Sparking a dynamic and unique conversation with successful wellness founders, the Welltodo Founder Series has proven to be an invaluable tool for wellness businesses, no matter their stage of the journey.
Providing industry insights, business strategies, and practical advice drawn from the challenges faced along the entrepreneurial journey, this latest instalment will be no different.
