When Is It?

Taking place in London on Tuesday 14th May, this thought-provoking event for innovative brands, startups, influencers and investors in the wellness industry, will be presented in partnership with international law firm Bird & Bird LLP, the leading provider of cloud-based business management software for the wellness industry MINDBODY, and health and wellness agency Skipper & Skipper.

Who Are The Panelists?

The panel will reveal how they got started, what it took to build their brands, how they have scaled their respective businesses, and what opportunities lie within the fast-growing global wellness industry.

Our first panelist, Olivia Wollenberg founded Livia’s (previously Livia’s Kitchen), now a £1 million company, at just 25 years old.

Having grown up with a number of food intolerances and frustrated with the lack of indulgent treats she was able to eat, the entrepreneur launched Livia’s from her parent’s kitchen table in 2014. The now 30-year-old entrepreneur stocks Livia’s in over 3000 stores across the UK, including major retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Waitrose, Boots, Selfridges and WHSmith.

Today, Livia’s boasts four highly innovative product ranges, with its latest addition DUNX, consisting of a range of cookies paired with nut butter dips. True to the Livia’s ethos, all products in the range are vegan, free from gluten and dairy, and made with only of the best, most simple ingredients.

Joining Wollenberg, Co-Founder of Huel, Julian Hearn, is a seasoned entrepreneur who has worked with brands including Tesco, Starbucks and Waitrose.

Launching Huel in 2015, after becoming troubled by the sheer amount of food waste humans produce, he hoped the brand could go some way to combating the crisis by offering a functional and convenient food in an alternative format.

The startup, which offers consumers a diverse range of nutritionally complete foods in a convenient, affordable format, currently sells granola, bars and powders, with each product containing the recommended balance of protein, carbs, fibre and fats, plus all 26 essential vitamins and minerals needed on a daily basis.

In October 2018, Huel raised £20 million from growth equity investor Highland Capital to help accelerate growth. And the brand has now sold over 40 million meals across 80 countries.

At just over 3 years old, Huel is one of the UK’s fastest growing companies, having recently achieved a global turnover of £40 million, with expectations to grow to £200 million by 2022.

Completing our inspiring lineup, Vedic Wellness and Meditation expert Jillian Lavender is the Co-Founder of London Meditation Centre and New York Meditation Center, which she runs with her partner, Michael Miller, from their base in London.

Originally from New Zealand, Lavender previously held senior business roles in Sydney, Paris and New York. During this demanding time leading global publishing companies, she learned Vedic Meditation and the improvements to her life were immediate.

Her stress levels began to dissolve and the fatigue began to subside. When life brought her to London, Lavender quit the corporate life and headed to India, where she trained with her teacher, world-renowned Thom Knoles, to become a meditation teacher before launching London Meditation Centre.

Through her work, Lavender has helped thousands of people across the globe to transform their lives. Alongside teaching meditation, lavender is also an expert in Ayurveda and consults on health, diet, sleep, fertility and lifestyle. She delivers this ancient knowledge in an accessible and practical way for modern life and has been featured in various publications including The FT, Guardian, The Telegraph, Huffington Post and i-D magazine.
