The World’s Best Healthcare And Wellness Advertisers Announced

The Global Awards for the World’s Best Healthcare and Wellness Advertising have announced their 2015 Shortlist and so far the US seems to be dominating.

Honoring excellence in healthcare innovations, the awards look beyond advertising alone to lift the perception of creativity above clever headlines and smart design. Instead the categories explore the feelings and emotions shared between the creator of a message and its recipient – an achievement that transcends the barriers of distance, language and culture.

Out of the 152 entries shortlisted this year, 26 countries feature, with the US leading the way with a total of 51 entries. The United Kingdom comes in second with 27 entries followed by Australia with 19 entries, The United Arab Emirates with 8 entries, followed by agencies from Japan and South Africa with 6 entries each, Brazil with 5 entries and France with 4.

Categories featured include: nutritional management, social media, package design, user experience and young globals (where winners will receive an internship at McCann Health or Ogilvy CommonHealth) and they extend beyond regional, national and continental boundaries.

Healthcare corporations, hospitals, advertising agencies, production companies and design studios that produce communications for medical, pharmaceutical, healthcare and wellness products and services all make an appearance. And integrated campaigns that engaged viewers on behalf of the brand and in support of causes dominate the shortlist.

Saatchi & Saatchi Health, Sydney have been shortlisted for both “In the Dark” for client Schizophrenia Awareness/Janssen and “Penny The Pirate” for Luxottica / OPSM. Life Healthcare Communications United Kingdom have been shortlisted for their “Resistance Integrated Campaign” and Epiduo; Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide Parsippany, USA for their “Disease Activity Lightbulb Campaign” for Unbranded/Multiple Sclerosis.

The 2015 Global Awards Grand Jury are headed by Global Awards Executive Committee Chairperson Robin Shapiro, President and Chief Creative Officer for CAHG and winners are due to be announced on 3rd December at ceremonies in New York City and Sydney.
