This Company Is Launching Expert-Led Training Courses For Wellness Professionals

LONDON, United Kingdom — Wellness professionals in the UK can now learn from experts including Bradley Simmonds, Talilla Henchoz, James Middleton and more across a variety of fully-accredited courses aimed at delivering qualifications for the fitness and nutrition industries.

The joint venture between LEAP Academy, a newly launched expert-led training course company and learndirect, one of the UK’s leading training providers, aims to shake up the online education market by enlisting the help of industry experts to share their insider knowledge and learnings from their own careers.

The move comes at a time when interest in remote learning continues to build momentum fulled by the global pandemic, as swathes of individuals opt for new career paths that better align with values and behaviours that have emerged during this transformative period.

With the huge growth of online education in recent years, LEAP Academy’s Co-founders Mitchell and Talilla Henchoz, whose father is Patrick Henchoz — industry giant and Founder of Esporta Health + Fitness Clubs chain — told Welltodo they are surprised to be the first to take the opportunity to build engaging online courses that can compete with in-person training.

“We wanted to merge online and flexible learning with the option for in-person training, along with high-quality content delivered by your favourite coaches,” the siblings shared.

“So, we’ve recruited some of the most inspirational leaders in the industry to deliver engaging and interesting video content, which really sets us apart from all the educational competitors,” they added.

By filling this gap in the market, the hope is that the platform can become a go-to hub for wellness courses that cater to individuals looking to start a new career or up-skill their current profession.

Courses will cover all aspects of wellness from fitness and skill-based qualifications to mindset and business expertise, with those available to join upon launch including L2/L3 Gym Instructing and Personal Training and L4 Advanced Nutrition.

Plans are already in place for further courses such as Business For Fitness, Social Media Marketing For Fitness, Strength & Conditioning, CrossFit Specific, Mindset Coaching and more to launch over the next year and beyond.

“We want to have a comprehensive catalogue of qualifications and short courses where learners know they are always getting a quality course they can rely on. But as well as having quality content, we want our courses to be delivered by the most inspiring people in the industry,” the company explained in a press release.

“We’re so happy with the initial team we’ve brought together for launch, and we hope to continue to add to that team over time as we bring new courses to the market.”

The strategy seems to be working so far, with hundreds of individuals already signed up for the platform’s pre-sale promotion which runs until 31st January — no doubt spurred on by the thought of learning from industry experts and influencers who have already built powerful personal brands.

“We believe that LEAP is an industry first and has a real opportunity to breathe some new life into the online training market,” Mitch Henchoz, CEO and Co-founder commented.

“By working with a group of highly motivated industry experts we expect to revolutionise the way online learning in the Health and Fitness market is delivered,” added Wayne Janse van Rensburg, CEO of learndirect.
