Get A Drip Opens London Flagship, Plots UK Expansion

Get a Drip

IV therapy provider Get A Drip is rolling out recovery clinics across the UK

What’s happening: Adding to 29 sites in Europe, the 2017-founded franchise intends to scale significantly. Emboldened by a projected £9.6M annual turnover, the first of its anticipated 120 UK clinics – a flagship in London’s Chelsea – also expands the brand’s offering.

Launched earlier this month, the King’s Road outpost is the first to house a hyperbaric oxygen chamber and infrared sauna alongside vitamin drips enhancing performance, neurological function and sleep.

What’s more, the brand partnered with at-home wellness provider Urban to deliver drips to doorsteps in London, Manchester and Birmingham.

Road to recovery. Popularised by pro athletes, recovery treatments like IV infusions, ice plunges and infrared saunas have become a prerequisite for pushing performance.

Moving out of the locker room and onto the gym floor, 47% of US exercisers now consider recovery practices important. Expecting the craze to take Europe too, Get A Drip wants to become a one-stop shop for health optimisation.

Right Place, Right Time

Scaling up in cities around the world, recovery services are meeting consumers where they are.

  • Bolstering its network of 100+ clinics in 47 countries, IV therapy provider REVIV launched in luxury department store Harrods last year.
  • Operating across six countries including Thailand, Dubai, Hong Kong and Australia, °CRYO’s cryotherapy clinics target sites next to fitness studios and health retailers.
  • Delivering recovery modalities like IV therapy, cryotherapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy at 230+ locations, Restore Hyper Wellness plans to reach every community in the US.

Adopting a dual approach, Therabody’s Reset stores utilise its products to complement IV therapy, massage and stretching sessions, while Hyperice is rolling out “wellness stations” co-created with Escape Fitness to outfit clubs across the UK, US and Europe.

Takeaway: From auxiliary to essential, the recovery revolution is sticking. With treatments habitualised by high-performers going mainstream, the stage is set for brands like Get A Drip to grow, and it won’t be long before there’s a recovery clinic on every corner.
