Steven Bartlett Joins UNTIL as Investor and Co-Founder

Steven Bartlett

Members club UNTIL has Steven Bartlett’s stamp of approval to upend health and wellness.

What’s happening: The influential entrepreneur, podcaster, and wellness enthusiast joined the UK-based wellness club as “marketing co-founder” while participating in the brand’s £4M investment round.

Part of his new role, Bartlett will support UNTIL’s aggressive expansion plans for 40+ locations in the UK, US and beyond in the next four years.

New paradigm. Speaking to WellToDo in July, UNTIL co-founder and CXO Alex Pellew noted the untapped opportunity to bring fitness, self-care and healthcare under one roof.

“Most facilities are designed for the sick, which is a sub-optimal experience for rehabilitation and getting back to prime health.”

An advocate for solo practitioners, Bartlett believes the integrative club concept’s core infrastructure will “rebalance the scales” for therapists, trainers, dentists and more while ushering in a much-needed shift to holistic wellcare.

Suite Deal

Already hitting milestones prior to his involvement, adding the Dragon’s Den personality and business influencer adds fuel to UNTIL’s fire — especially given Bartlett’s recent connection to the health and fitness industry.

A self-proclaimed super-fan of numerous wellness brands spanning wearables to personalised nutrition, recently, Bartlett (often through his private equity vehicle Flight Fund) has purchased a seat at the table.

  • 2021: Became non-executive director of plant-based meal replacement startup Huel after an undisclosed investment
  • 2022: Secured a stake in integrated health brand incubator The Healing Company, becoming a board director
  • March 2023: Invested £2M in UK-based personalised nutrition platform ZOE
  • April 2023: Inked an ambassador and equity partnership with wearables maker WHOOP

And with health optimisation central to his fund’s “disruptor” thesis, his presence in the industry will likely grow.

Punchline: For ambitious brands like UNTIL, a “marketing co-founder” like Bartlett might be effective in name alone.
